This year’s Earth Day theme is:
Restore Our Earth, which focuses on natural processes, emerging green
technologies, and innovative thinking that can restore the world’s ecosystems.
UNESCO World Heritage belongs to us all, therefore it is up to each of us to
Restore Our Earth not just because we care about the natural world, but
because we live on it. We all need a healthy Earth to support our jobs,
livelihoods, health & survival, and happiness. A healthy planet is not an option — it is a necessity.
Final Outcome
This poster design competition was held by Inti Center of Art and Design (ICAD) during the ICAD Earth Day 2021 event. The theme for this competition was “Restore Our Earth”. I select this design concept where the planet earthneeds to rest and let go at night to welcome the next day with sunshine and energy. As the Earth moves around the Sun, we have day and night. The side
of the Earth facing the Sun is bathed in light and heat depicting sushine and happiness (daytime). The side of the Earth facing away from the Sun is darker and cooler bringing rest and relaxation after a day of hardwork (nighttime).
